LORELAI DELANO
Company Apprentice Artist with Identity since Spring 2026
Lorelai Delano, (they/she/he) is originally from Austin, Texas, where they began dancing and competing with Pivotal Academy of Dance under the direction of Jade Greenough Powell, training in styles such as contemporary, jazz, ballet, hiphop, and tap. After graduating highschool, they studied dance for a year at Austin Community Collage, taking class and performing works by Melissa Sanderson, Sanchita Sharma, Ellen Bartel, and Roxy Gage.
While studying at ACC, they worked with Sea Legs Dance, directed by Tikiri Shapiro, performing "Escape from Nightmareland" as a production, and "The Joy of a New Perspective" at Barnstorm Dance Festival. Additionally they have danced with Sea Legs as an ensemble improvisor for a music video and several in-person events for audio/visual artist Oddmanrush. They are currently based in Chicago, training and performing in the Visceral Dance Trainee Program, and joining Identity Performing Arts as an apprentice.
